English: If ICE Comes to Your Door
- Do not open the door: ICE cannot come in without a SIGNED warrant unless you let them in. Tell them to pass the warrant under the door before you open it.
- Remain Silent: ICE can use anything you say against you. Claim your right to remain silent by pleading the fifth amendment. Say, “I have the right to remain silent.”
- Do Not Sign Anything: Don’t sign anything ICE gives you without speaking to a lawyer.
- Report the Raid: CALL 1-844-363-1423 (United We Dream). Take note of exactly what happened, including the number of agents and badge numbers. Take photos or video if possible.
- Talk to a Lawyer: Discuss your case with a lawyer. You may be able to get bail if you’re detained. Don’t give up.
